Exeter Maine is the agricultural center in Penobscot County. Located approximately 20 miles west of Bangor with our community having a population of about 1,062. It is a great place to raise a family!

General Assistance
The Municipality of Exeter administers a General Assistance program for the support of the poor. (a copy of this ordinance is available at the Town Office)
General Assistance hours are Wednesday: 10am-12pm
